From Laurenesq: I’d love to start/host a crafting hour on Saturdays. During that time, I’d happy to skill share crochet, and others would be welcome to skill share knitting, sewing, and/or other related skills. A couple of people in the CHM class expressed interest in my (or someone at Noisebridge) doing this. Would it be possible to start this Saturday July 12th? We could start sooner, I just can’t commit to hosting or participating this Saturday or next Saturday.

Zoning & Permitting Standing Item

Status this week? Helpful broad asks to the community? NB city bureaucracy WG -- JD & Alice, among others.

Directors hearing was the 17th. They gave us 60 days to close the 2023 violation permit. (8/16?)

We have not yet pulled a permit for the electrician to come through and get this place up to code. Did a walkthrough with him on Monday. He gonna try to make it as quick and affordable as possible. Gonna involve putting outlets in pretty much every room. Wanna have ceiling outlets in key places too. Inspector will be coming through after we get that permit, he knows we are doing this work. Hopefully next week or two.

We are not totally sure if we need 360 degree motion detector lights throughout the space...hopefully we don't. He's gonna find out.

Have to get electrical panel info about 276 capp.

Got a bid on the HVAC for the woodshop. $11k We think we don't need airflow solution before the permits are pulled and old one closed. So in theory that can be dealt with later.

They'd like to use the hackitorium presentation area.

Setting up 1 to 2 prototype devices to do some teaching and demos! 800mm sq (roughly 2ft x 2ft) for device

Testing signups to be opened a month ahead. Offering to gift a test unit for community R&D use. With ongoing consultation, discussion about later-on maybe getting one production unit post-1.0-release.

Options July 30th 2-6pm? August 6 10am-4pm?

Let's give them their preference - July 30th.

Recently this has come up in the context of [discussing restarting BACH] and we've recently gotten a bunch of new hackers from out-of-state spaces as well as inquiries about colabs (e.g. https://www.beanpath.org/ )

Do-ocratic Task Board

Participation also means doing stuff to contribute to the space. Propose new tasks or pick some tasks from Github, from what needs to be done around you, or whatever, and see if someone will sign up to work on that task. Anyone can sign up and it's a great way to show you are contributing!
