San Francisco Awesome Foundation Mixer[edit]
The San Francisco chapter of the Awesome Foundation is having a mixer for their trustees, grant recipients, and new trustee candidates. We'll have food, drinks, and Awesome conversation.
About the Awesome Foundation[edit]
The Awesome Foundation is an unofficial organization, with chapters all over the world. Each chapter is unique, but the basic idea is that 10 people each kick in $100 at their monthly meeting, and give the resulting $1k to a project they agree is awesome -- no strings attached. Anyone can submit a project for consideration for an Awesome Foundation grant -- just apply on the Awesome Foundation website.
Worldwide, $1,320,000 of grants have been given away to awesome projects to date.
Several Noisebridge community members have received Awesome Foundation grants from the San Francisco chapter.
