1. Signage refresh & “Re-sign-aging” — QR codes, exterior visibility, LED/window displays, decluttering, room/event labeling, photo displays, and fixing broken signs.

2. Fundraising: membership drive, Xmas party, EoY email — reviving silent auction; reuse last year’s EoY email; matching sponsors w/ prospective members; target: 3 new members per meeting; expand events + advertising (FunCheap, Mission Dolores Manor).

3. Social Media WG — need consistent posting + strategy; advertise classes; align messaging; possibly pitch local news on makerspaces in trouble; seek volunteers.

4. Renaming membership tiers — clarify “member vs associate member”; ideas include “participant,” “steward-member,” “supporter”; concerns about legal clarity; possible future consensus item to adjust bylaws.

• Khang - came last year. game dev. very happy that I came to critical success. Went to gamebridbe last week and want to share the knowlege I got form my experience and help support noiesbridge anyway I can. I'm not a member and want to be a Member!
• Ufuk- I wennt to sf last year. Had a makerspace in Istanbul and it focued on recycling and upcycling. Inspired by our philosophy. I'm here to learn from us and to help!
• Oliver: From SF working on shis system called Memo and control computer with voice. Love NB!
• Daniel: I do computer things and 3d print and lazer cutter
• Loren: please come to our meetings for Infrastructure for Networks
• Helema: realy enjoy the community and work at humanmade. Want to learn more about otehr makers
• Carl: I've been going to NB for many years. I'm a coder. I also sit on the board and treasurer at the sun gallery & makerspace in Hayward. I also worked on the Flashentashen. Here to help with fundraising.

What are they? Is anyone trying to become a Member or Associate Member? If not move on. No long discussions.

What is a member? / participant?

• 501c3 needs a board and a definition membership of who can vote for the board.

• Full membership is participating in consensus process. (totally participatory)

• 24 hour access - level of trust to take care of space.

• One never needs to block things - it is rare. One of the main purposes of membership is find cool new members to join!

Most of our contributions from our membership drive is likely very sustainable. We are now having more income this year from membership Our income is an upward trend Benevity is a program that has corporations pay a non profit to charatable causes and matches 1-1 and allows them to write it off in taxes. • Elle: Xmas party for holidays -- it is totally a fundraiser w/ a Silent auction -- NEED VOLUNTEERS
• Elle: End of year fundraiser -- make no changes to last year's EoY email and just send it out again -- it was totally successful, just change it to 2025.
• Elle: Membership drive -- we've talked a lot about it, this is literally a drive, we need to match sponsors w/ prospective Members, let's see if we can get 3 new members at each Tuesday mtg.
• Carl: it was one a day for 10 weeks if we want to make up all the funds.
• Daniel: this was naive math based on smaller-savings calculations
• Elle: I think it's possible, i think your "naive math" was just fine Carl -- we can set up an incentive competition to support current members to compete to bring in more new members.
• LX: a lot of ppl's stories starts with an event they attended... expand improve and advertise events to 10x more ppl than we currently are.
• Naomi: FunCheap!!! it's insane how many ppl read it to find out about stuff to do
• Dray: we hold events all of the time and you can use our audience. Mission Dolores Manor.
• Elle: Have a week of classes one class each week. Proposed it for January And applied to Awesome Foundation for $ to support the effort.

discord chanel with different things. Oliver: What are the ground for truths? Loren: the discord channel Naomi: we just need to post things regularly.

• We should advertize our classes on Social media
• Naomi: Autism and ADHD defines our people mostly.
• Eric's point on reaching out to organizations that currently support the community and having more their support to support us providing classes.

NAT: made a go fund me with no strategy and wanted to know if anyone likes what I put. If you have a strategy, reach out to local news and make sure that you are happy with what I posted.

• Carl: Idea I have is to have a TV news story about 3 bay area makerspaces that are running out of funds. My space in Hayward, Noisebridge and the Ace Maker Space in Oakland is having issues.

From/Raised by: Daniel Seeking workshopping, brainstorming On topic: Renaming Membership tiers

We overhear people talking about membership -- they say it's hard, or you have to befriend a "big M".

"member with voting responsibilities" "member with legal obligations"

I want associate membership to be discussed as 24 hours access.

LX: when i first read the proposal, i share the goal, and we've had similar goals for past discussions of renamaing.

We've used the term "participant" in the past, to communicate this clearly.

It's good energy to have people want to become members. It should be easy to talk about,

Prefix and suffix variants seem helpful and productive.

Daniel: I hear that, we've had some discussion onling

Elle: there's an added benefit to membership, that's being a part of the community, recognized, in a different way

Loren: worried about the legal distinction, in the bylaws, this could cause reasonable confusion that weakens our distinction about car

LX: perhaps "steward-membership"

Loren: I would support a Consensus item to update the bylaws with that.

Daniel: we could also use "supporter"

Participation also means doing stuff to contribute to the space. Propose new tasks or pick some tasks from Github, from what needs to be done around you, or whatever, and see if someone will sign up to work on that task. Anyone can sign up and it's a great way to show you are contributing!
