Lesson or Demo[edit]
- Read aloud: clarify for meetup. We are taking notes in a riseup pad (or I am--help appreciated, and links). We have meeting notes posted to the wiki. noisebridge.net, search Infra, or Meetups/Infra. (the Infrastructure page has a disambiguation link.)
- Shell, web services, self-hosting, networking!
- Advent of code (25 d) + advent of sad servers (12 d)
- http://adventofcode.com/ -- jet says, please just do it by hand. See site's QA.
- systemd -- derek looked for linters
- cuelang.org -- dhall
- augeas.net
- uv -- neat trick
- you can install things globally! uv tool install, uvx for temporary use
- uv -- building toward profitability
git work trees: https://git-scm.com/docs/git-worktree something that can help agents work on multiple features in different branches. Hard for humans to use but maybe it's getting some improvements in recent versions of git.
- someone shared at a meetup. using git-worktrees plus docker containers, then giving claude code access to tmux, logging in to each of the containers -- there they have more freedom to do whatever, and you don't need to e.g. use environment variables to set and look up separate ports for separate dev servers for each of the worktree instances
- the ai checkins.
- vpn for circumventing price discrimination -- on ai tools, dev tools, flights.
- close with Glasstron
