Discussion[edit]
ACCESSIBILITY MEETING — TUESDAY
Ripple presented documentation:
- Measured clearances (48" minimum maintained everywhere)
- Photos from multiple angles
- ADA guidelines for outdoor spaces (we exceed requirements)
- Offer to add reflective tape to pool edge
Rutherford: "The measurements don't address the VISUAL clutter. Neurodivergent individuals might find it overwhelming."
Quorum: "I'm neurodivergent. I find the ducks calming."
Rutherford: "That's anecdotal."
Several members spoke in support of ducks. One person said "this feels like looking for a problem."
Rutherford requested formal space allocation review. Board said they'd consider it.
Synthwave Guild:
Quorum met with them. Outcome: they'll use INDOOR space on Tuesdays. No conflict. They thought the ducks were "aesthetic" and want to collaborate on a "duck ambient" event. ???
OVERFLOW INCIDENT — WEDNESDAY SILENT SITTING
17 people showed up. SEVENTEEN. Word spreading too fast.
Couldn't fit on patio. Moved inside last minute. Lost the pond ambiance. Ducks couldn't float. People sat on floor with ducks on a table.
Lumen: "It worked but it wasn't the same."
We NEED a capacity solution.

The duck pond is under bureaucratic attack. And also too popular. Strange problems.
