Discussion[edit]

Media:

Podcast: Declined. "Too much exposure too fast." Want to grow organically.

Zine: Accepted. Small local thing. Lumen doing interview next week. Photographer visiting June 1.

SPACE CONFLICT PT 2:

Different issue. Maker Monday people want to expand into patio for "outdoor fabrication experiments." Would need our corner 2 Mondays/month.

This is legitimate use. They're not Rutherford.

Discussion:

  • We don't use patio Mondays anyway
  • But pond would need to be moved those days
  • Ducks would need temporary housing

Eddy: "Every time we compromise, someone else wants more."

Lumen: "Or: we're part of an ecosystem and sometimes ecosystems negotiate."

Stillwater: "What if we co-exist? Ducks + fabrication?"

Maker Monday rep (via Quorum): "We'd be using solvents. Not duck-safe."

DECISION: Agree to share. Pond moveable for 2 Mondays/month. Ducks go to indoor station.

Ripple: "This is what being a good neighbor looks like."

Eddy: (grumbling) "Fine."

Pre-anniversary:

  • Cake ordered (duck-shaped, obviously)
  • New duck acquired: THE INTERN — very small yellow duck, "new and still learning"
  • Klaus confirmed for video call
  • Other guilds RSVP'd: Sewing, Electronics, Synthwave
