Small crew:

Pre-holiday. Quorum, Flotsam, Tidepool all traveling. Skeleton crew energy. Cozy.

NTHMOST'S ANNOUNCEMENT:

Nthmost is a long-time Noisebridge person. Wiki work, community stuff, infrastructure. Today she came with news.

Nthmost: "I've been watching the wiki edits. You all have been BUSY. The meeting notes are incredible."

Ripple: "We try to document everything."

Nthmost: "I can tell. It reads like a novel. The Murk saga? The Rutherford complaint? Drama."

Eddy: "You should have been here for the goose incident."

Nthmost: "The WHAT?"

(We explained. Nthmost laughed for a solid minute.)

Nthmost sat with Null Pointer for a while. Quiet conversation. Looked meaningful.

Nthmost: "You ducks really have something special here. The documentation, the rituals, the community. It's beautiful."

Admiral Quackbar gave a soft quack of acknowledgment.

Nthmost: "Anyway, I came to invite you all to something. I've started running the 'Old Hacker on a Rocking Chair Hour' — OHRC. It's every Tuesday, 5:55pm, in the gaming lounge. An hour before the weekly meetings."

Ripple: "What happens at OHRC?"

Nthmost: "Stories. Advice. Old hacker wisdom. Sometimes complaints about how everything used to be better. Sometimes admissions that it wasn't. Just sitting and talking."

Stillwater: "That sounds perfect for some of our more philosophical ducks."

Nthmost: "Ducks are absolutely welcome. I mean it."

Duckminster Fuller visibly perked up at this.

NB16 planning:

  • Photo booth: Stillwater leading setup
  • Debugging station: Lumen staffing
  • Duck treats: Flotsam (confirmed via text)
  • Presentation: Ripple, 5 min max, during downtime

LX confirmed our slot. We're on the schedule.

Dec 14 meeting: CANCELLED. All hands for NB16.
