The ultimaker is working. It's configured to connect at 115200 using Pronterface. You can use Slic3r to slice your STL files, using the attached configuration file. How do I embed a file that's not a picture? (file types supported pdf, png, jpg, jpeg, ogg, doc, xls, ppt, mp3, sxc, nse, gif, csv, dat, txt, svg, dwg, xml.- Perhaps we can ask RACK to add a few more file types so we can upload STL's GCODE's and INI's)

Update: 10/11/2013 The ultimaker had a good run at the NB benifit at asterisk gallery on 24th st, Printed about qty60 25% size NB logos... ran great all night, NB's found all over NB... Souvenours for everyone

Brought her home to NB, hooked her up again Started printing Feet for ultimaker, Failure... After close inspection... The ultimaker has a loose capstian screw on the upper gear of the X axis, above the motor connected to the grey belt, needs very small Allen key to fix, which I was unable to find at NB. Hope to fix friday, have stuff to print and the ultimaker is doing a really nice job now that I have the settings more perfected,... more to come...

Update 10/12/2013 Fixed ultimaker with Matt, seems all it was was some loose screws. I believe we will be able to make this little bot be a very good boy, still some issues with the X and Y axies, probably torque issues or possibly some slipping of belts or capstians, worst case is the motor controllers on the adruino are at the end of their operating life. The Z axis limit switch must be manually activated at the point just before the extruder tip touches the bed when starting the machine... Once the machine begins laying down the skirt which allows you to check both the adhesion to the bed as well as the shape of the bead as it is extruded.

Seems better to lay down the first couple of layers at a slower speed to give the layers touching the bed time to harden before the next pass...

Matt made new rod cap ends for the X and Y axis which allow a screw to tension the rods. Need to make 4 more tommorrow

Today I made new feet for ultimmaker, which is alot better than 2 pieces of 2x4, however I believe the model of the feet could be extended to allow space for the power supply under the box.
